I included this poem even though it was written well after my therapy ended because
this is what completed my healing. Accepting the gift of the atonement of Jesus Christ
completed my healing. I understood that the atonement is not just for cleansing us from
our sins. The atonement is about cleansing and removing our sins, our pain, our
suffering, and our sorrows. The atonement is a gift given freely, as an act of
unconditional love. All we have to do is accept the gift and embrace it to make it ours.
